March 4, 2014: The Utah Kart Championship has a new logo, courtesy of Longmont, Colo., graphic designer Dan Wildhirt. In February, Miller Motorsports Park, the Tooele, Utah, race track that hosts the UKC, launched an online competition to develop a new identity for the 10-race series that runs from April through October.

Fans, competitors and artists were invited to submit entries and vote online for their favorites. Wildhirt's winning logo design earned nearly three times as many votes as the runner-up. "I wanted to convey the intensity and excitement of the racing" Wildhirt said, "while also incorporating MMP's corporate identity and its picturesque location at the foot of the Oquirrh mountain range."

The new UKC logo will be used throughout the 2014 season on promotional materials and at MillerMotorsportsPark.com.
