Cannondale MX400 motorcycle
In a move of almost unparalelled chutzpah, bicycle maker Cannondale believed they were smarter than the combined engineering staffs of Honda, Yamaha, et al, and built the MX400 motocross bike in 2002. Overpriced, underpowered and beset with teething problems, the MX400 project helped drive the company into bankruptcy in 2003. The Cannondale, debugged and refined, lives on today as the ATK.
